the script

Pimpama Junction Shopping Village opened recently on Australia’s Gold Coast, with a cultural centrepiece in the form of a dramatic sculpture welcoming visitors to its main entrance.

Commissioned by the developer through Multiple International & Artmap Studio, the stainless steel sculpture The Script by artist Robert Hague stands five metres high and is loosely based on the idea of a script caught by the breeze, its individual sheets fanning out as it flies.
The sculpture works as a foil to the shopping village, drawing the eye up toward the sky and emphasising the open theme of the centre’s architecture.
