Vancouver Winter Olympics

The opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics represent a breathtaking feat in immersive storytelling, relying more heavily on screen content that any other Olympic ceremony. This visual content was designed and produced by Multiple International partner Spinifex, working alongside producer-designer David Atkins. 

The Games saw the first use of full video projection on a stadium floor with a viewing audience of 360 degrees. The projection worked with six vertical screens that rose from the floor of the stadium to a height of 30 meters, linking up with three circular screens at the ceiling of the stadium.
Praised as one of the best opening ceremonies ever by IOC president Jacques Rogge, these ceremonies reached a global TV audience of more than 1 billion.
